The over-the-head sprung steel band is designed to provide the wearer with the ability to custom fit the headset to the skull, by allowing small adjustments to be made to ensure the receive transducers are correctly positioned in-front of the ears, in contact with the cheekbone.

New Eagle headsets can be modified so that the microphone boom can be worn on the left or right hand side of the face, by removing the rear strap and inverting its position to the opposite side of the headset.

Microphone options range from electret omni-directional transducers to noise cancelling versions, which provide the highest speech quality in high levels of ambient noise.
