Sonic Communications (Int) Ltd will once again be showcasing the latest communications accessories range to the Emergency Services at BAPCO held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. New to the exhibition will be the Rugged Transportable Station which is the result of a joint development project between Sonic and Sepura and represents the first production man portable, multi-application SRG based Base Station/Gateway.

Versatility is key and this has been designed in by allowing the unit to be powered from either its own rapid release 13Ah NiMH battery pack or 12V/240V and currently under development is an emergency D-Cell battery pack.

Also on display will be the latest LD5/DRC-2 Wireless Earpiece.
The LD5 and DRC-2 wireless earpiece models have been given a fresh appearance for 2007 with being supplied in a new style		  

storage box and accessories. As an option, all LD5 and DRC-2 models will be offered complete with 2x Batteries, 2x Waxtraps and 1x Removal Tool for maximum convenience and value.

Sonic Communications plan to use BAPCO to showcase the latest development of covert wireless control for users of the Sepura RCU and other Sonic accessories where wireless functionality is desirable. The current solution offers users local wireless PTT and Tone facility (where applicable) in a small, low profile keyfob RF transmitter. This allows the operative the opportunity to set up the RCU then leave it in a pocket with PTT/Tone still being activated by way of two simple buttons.

BAPCO is important to both Sonic and the Emergency Services in that it enables designers and end users to meet and discuss the effectiveness of current equipments as well as future technologies.
