This time it’s the Long Way Down!

Following on the success of the Long Way Round adventure back in 2004, Ewan and Charlie called on us to help them with their latest challenge - The Long Way Down.

The adventure will take them from the most northern tip of Scotland into Western Europe and then making their way to Africa. Once there, they will make the long dash down to the southern tip of South Africa.

Sonic has played its part by installing audio & video equipment to the bikes and to the helmets of both Ewan and Charlie, giving them full control over the onboard communications and video equipment.

  

The side pannier contains the radio equipment with an external aerial, whilst the Tank Bag contains the video recorder and interface equipment.

Controls for the radio are available by way of a Push-To-Talk button and the video can be controlled by the handle bar control box complete with video screen for record playback.

The design and layout of the installation allows the rider to easily plug into the bike using a nexus socket.

We look forward to the programs release later this year where we hope to see some very exciting footage of Ewan and Charlie’s trip across Africa.
