Baroness Thatcher, LG, OM, PC, FRS Visits Sonic!

David Bryan surprised the work force by welcoming Baroness Thatcher to Sonic where she once opened the Factory back in 1997.

There to greet her were the famous RAF Falcons (www.raf.mod.uk/falcons) along with Detective Chief Supt Matthew Sawers from West Midlands Police and Prof. Paul Ivey from Coventry University. In typical spirit, the RAF Falcons presented her with a box of chocolates to continue the long tradition of “The lady loves Milk Tray”.

Before having a tour of the building David Bryan welcomed her with a cup of coffee and took the opportunity to talk to her about the changes over the last 12 years.

David Bryan presented her with a copy of all the thank you letters received from VIP visitors on the day she opened the factory back in July 1997.

Her charitable nature was evident as she tirelessly took the time to visit all the departments before finally cutting the tape to open the new Specialist Design & New Product Development Department.

From there, she very kindly and very patiently stood for photographs before joining David and the Falcons for lunch.
