Law Enforcement Partner

Sonic Communications is a proud law enforcement partner of Digital Barriers for the delivery of live surveillance solutions to law enforcement organisations. This enables us to scale up the adoption of EdgeVis to address the growing market need for reliable and secure video connectivity over cellular from vehicles and all manner of customised covert surveillance devices.

 

The partnership has been formalised in recognition of our respective complementary capabilities in software and in the design and installation of custom-built solutions. Furthermore, it builds on Digital Barriers and Sonic Communications’ shared heritage as trusted global suppliers to the police, military and government.

Ministry of Defence

Sonic has a long history of working for the MOD which covers all aspects of the armed forces. This long and established history has meant that Sonic is the preferred supplier of radio accessories and surveillance systems. As well as providing equipment, Sonic provide additional services such as product training and often take part in project developments for future technologies in direct collaboration with end users.

Ambulance Service

The Ambulance Service, as with all the Emergency Services benefit from years of collaboration with Sonic Communications. Reliable radio communication is a critical resource supporting the effective operations of the crew. Sonic supply and continue to develop a range of accessories helping keep the responders as effective as possible.

Police

Sonic first provided Police motorcyclists with the capabilities to communicate with each other while riding. This intercom system (the ICF) was the first of its kind and opened the door to the beginnings of what is now a well-established partnership.

Fire Service

Sonic first provided the Fire Service with the capabilities to communicate with each other while wearing, the then, Gallet Helmets. Since then, Sonic has provided the Service with intercoms that allow the Fire Brigade to communicate with the personnel from within the Fire Engine. The systems allow the wearer to disconnect from the vehicle system and reconnect to his/her handheld radio, keeping the fighter in constant radio connection whether in the vehicle or on the fire ground.

Security Agencies

Security Agencies extensive requirements range from a simple earpiece to complex surveillance equipment and networks that enable private companies to minimise the exploitation of their businesses. This can include property surveillance and individual safety equipment such as body-worn DVRs.

 

Such equipment can form part of complex integrated surveillance networks that cover real time surveillance, either in the UK or around the world. Sonic Communications can develop these systems in whole or in part and integrate individual products to seamlessly form part of these networks.
